Use of client software
In the Application mode, the simulation is carried out through the use of the client software installed on the stations. This simulation can be set up:
- The "step by step", "automatic" and "no demonstration" modes supervise the displaying of "mini-demonstrations" windows which explain how the software work.
- The "Packets path" list indicates if the packets follow the physical way (Ethernet way) or if they are transported from one router to another (IP route).
- The "Messages path" list indicates if the messages follow the physical way (Ethernet way), if they are transported from one router to another (IP route), or if they go directly from the sender to the recipient (Application path).
