Ping

Open the TP03_01.xml file and move to the IP mode.
Put the mouse pointer over the various network interfaces and look at the balloon helps:

St1's interface has the following IP address: 10.0.0.1.
St2 and st3’s interfaces also have an IP address.
St4's interface does not have any IP address (0.0.0.0).

In the pop-up menu of st4's interface, choose "IP Configuration".
Input the "10.0.0.4" address, and press the "tab" key: the default mask is automatically indicated.
In st4's pop-up menu, select "Tables", and "routing table": the routing table has automatically been produced.

In st1’s pop-up menu, select "Send a ping".
Input the "10.0.0.4" address, and click on "OK".
Watch the following points:

The Ethernet frame and its IP packet are displayed in the upper panel.
The Ethernet frame appears in blue, and the IP packet movement in yellow.
Station st4 answers the ICMP request.

Select "IP route" in the "Packets' path" combo box and perform the same simulation again: the IP packet now illustrates the virtual exchange between the two station’s IP managers.
Perform the same simulation in the "step by step" mode, the stations display their functioning.
