Right-click on sw1 to open its pop-up menu, and select "clear mac/port table".
Right-click on the network interface of st1 to open its pop-up menu and launch the emission of a frame.
Select the unicast destination, click on the network interface of st3, and then click on "OK".
Watch the following points:
The switch adds an association in its mac/port table between st1’s MAC address and the port on which it is connected.
The frame is sent to all the stations.
Right-click on sw1 to open its pop-up menu, and select "edit mac/port table". You can now watch the connection that you have created.
Emit a frame from st3 to st1 and watch the following points:
The switch adds an association in its mac/port table between st3’s MAC address and the port on which it is connected.
The switch recognizes the connection port of the recipient station, and the frame is re-emitted only to port 1.
