The menus
You can go to the "Tables" menu to remove the ongoing exchanges. This option deletes the ongoing exchanges carried out by each station, and it also removes the entries produced by these exchanges from their "natpat" table (the "mapping" types are kept).
Compared to that of the IP mode, the pop-up menu of the stations and the routers has some additional options.
- "Tables", "Filter rules" option: setting of the filter rules. The rules can be re-arranged in order by changing the sequence number of one of them. Each rule can relate to the incoming or/and outgoing interfaces, the protocol, the source (IP address and port), the destination (IP address and port). To the IP addresses can be added the number of bits that are set to 1 in the mask (address/nb bits, CIDR notation). If this number is not specified, it is the default mask that will apply according to the address' class (/8, /16, /24) if it is a network address, and the mask "255.255.255.255 (/32)" applies if it is a host address.
- "Tables", "Natpat table" option: to add some "mapping" entries change a local server into a public one, and to consult the entries produced by the exchanges.
In addition to these options, the pop-up menu of the stations also has the following extra ones.
- "Tables", "Listened ports": to define the listened ports on the station. Only the requests addressed on these ports will be accepted. Note: when you are in the "Application" mode, the listened ports are defined during the setting of the parameters of the installed server programs.
- "Interchanges in progress": to consult the requests sent and received by the station.
- "Send a request": to send a request to a station. You have to give the protocol (TCP, UDP or ICMP), the address or the name of the recipient station, and the destination port. In the case of an ICMP request, the port is replaced by the identifier of the request's ICMP. This identifier will be resorted to for the possible translations.
- "Reply a request": to send an answer to a received request.
